Program  Objective:

 

Upon successful completion of the course, participants should be able to:-

  • Understand the basic measurement concepts of instrumentation and process control .
  • Know the different technologies currently in use in pressure, level, temperature and flow measurement .
  • Know the different types of actuators and accessories used on the different types of valves plus an appreciation of actuator forces, positioners and fail safe systems .
  • Recognize the features of basic control systems including cascade control .
  • Understand the combined concept of feed forward / feedback and ratio controlpractical applications .
  • Review new and long term trends in instrumentation and process control .
  • Know the different techniques for tuning PID controllers .
  • Recognize the various forms of digital field bus communication and Smart transmitters .
