PROGRAM INTRODUCTION:

 

This course will provide an overview of pressure vessel maintenance, including inspection, evaluation of various defects, and repair/alteration rules of various Codes and Standards. The session will review National Board Inspection Code regulations including an overview of API-510 and API-579. Simple evaluation methods for several types of defects will be described, and their use demonstrated using sample problems. In addition, the activities and publications of the ASME Post Construction Committee will be briefly presented The session also includes an introduction to the research and development work in related fields
