Hazardous (Classified) Locations

Program Objectives:

  • Designing, maintaining and operating of equipments and Control Systems in Hazardous Areas, requires specialized knowledge which ensures that these systems work safely, without being sources of ignition them. There are many ways in which explosion protection of these systems is achieved. These include protection methods like Explosion proofing, Intrinsic Safety, Increased safety, Pressurization, etc

  • This course will focus on the procedures involved in classifying hazardous locations and methods to ensure safety of equipment installations. You will learn how to classify and manage appropriate protective techniques for different hazards and combinations of hazards. During the course, you will examine the application of industry standards to hazardous locations to help ensure effective safety procedures and methods

  • The course will be especially valuable to those involved in classifying hazardous areas and installing equipment within hazardous areas in:  Chemical, petrochemical and Petroleum refining
